PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a responding time and a data transmitting time in an environment where a communication terminal equipment connected to a radio network transferring data by a hyper text transferring protocol transmits and receives an electronic mail with a computer network through a gateway device connected with the computer network transferring the electronic mail by a simple mail transferring protocol and with the radio network. SOLUTION: In the system control part I-MAX of the gateway device, in outgoing, a tag compressing part IM 4 compresses the tag of mark up language and a mail header reducing part IM 7 reduces the header items of the electronic mail. In incoming, a mail header adding part IM 8 adds the header items of the electronic mail.
