PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve uniform electrification of toner by preventing uneven coating of toner on a developing sleeve, to control generation of a blotch by preventing excessive electrification of the toner and at the same time to make possible the realization of an appropriate maintenance of hiboelectrification over a long period of time by preventing effect from a soiled sleeve. SOLUTION: In this image forming method, the toner 81 that is held on a cylindrical toner carrier that is placed facing a latent image carrier 74 to carry an electrostatic latent image is carried to a part facing the latent image carrier and the electrostatic latent image is developed by the toner at the facing part. In this case, a cylindrical developing sleeve provided with a coated layer 77 on its surface formed by material including resin is utilized as the toner carrier and as the toner, the toner which contains at least some binding resin and charge controller are utilized where the binding resin provided is styrene- butadiene copolymer and the charge controller provided is a triphenylmethane compound. |
