PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce and discharge a test sample without separating the sample from an optical system, by detecting from an intensity of a different passing light projected to a measurement optical path in the sample, bubbles and particles in the sample which hinder the light from passing, and removing the bubbles and particles from the optical path. SOLUTION: When bubbles and particles in a liquid test sample 2 which is introduced into a sample cell 8 are present in a projection optical path of a semiconductor laser module 1, a quantity of light inputted to an optical sensor 3 decreases and an output signal becomes lower than the case when these obstacles are not present. When detecting the presence of the obstacles from a size or change of the output signal of the optical sensor 3, a computer 7 controls a shaking table 9, thereby vibrating the sample cell 8 to stir the test sample 2. As a result, the obstacles disappear or move from the optical path, and the output signal of the optical sensor 3 recovers to be stable. The computer 7 stops the vibration application by the shaking table 9 and starts to measure a spectral absorptivity of the test sample 2. That is, light is projected from a wavelength variable light source 4 and an output signal of an optical sensor 6 is analyzed while the wavelength is swept.
