PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device and an image recording and reproducing device whose operability can be enhanced by varying a magnification factor so that its change is felt natural in the case of displaying a digital image while varying its magnification factor. SOLUTION: A control microcomputer 7 allows a DRAM 4 to give part of its stored original image to a resolution converter 8. The resolution converter 8 converts the resolution of the received image so that the size of the image is required for display on an image display device 3 and writes the converted image back to the DRAM 4. An image processing circuit 2 processes the write- back magnified image and the image display device 3 displays the resulting image. A magnification factor of the image can be varied by depressing a DOWN key 9 and an UP key 10 connected to the control microcomputer 7 by a photographer. Concretely when a current magnification factor is low, the rate of change is set small and when the current magnification factor is high, the rate of change is set large. Thus, a change in the magnification factor is felt natural. |
