In particular, to reduce the load on a sawtooth, improve the life simultaneously and reduce power consumption at steel piece cutting by improving lubrication between the steel piece and the sawtooth at steel piece cutting. SOLUTION: This is a method to reduce the load on a sawtooth 7 attached on a hot saw cutting a steel piece spraying a lubricating oil mixed with industrial water on the tip and the sides of the sawtooth 7 in cutting of the steel piece for hot steel material. At this time, the lubricating oil from an oil reservoir 6 is pumped up by a pump 5 to a mixer 3 and mixed with industrial water at the mixer 3. The density of the lubricating oil to be mixed with industrial water is 0.1-5% and the pressure of the mixed liquid of industrial water and lubricating oil to be sprayed on the sawtooth 7 is in the range of 0.1-10 kg/cm2.
