<p>Peripheral devices, even though they are functionally available for use by other buses, could not be connected to another bus to be used on it. A bus conversion adapter 40 for connecting an ATAPI-specified hard disk 31 to a SCSI bus consists of a bus width changing logic 41, an interface changing logic 42, a SCSI control logic 43 and an ATAPI control logic 44, and makes possible matching of the SCSI bus and the ATAPI bus by matching the command systems while changing the bus width between the SCSI bus and the ATAPI bus in the course of shifting among the eight phases on the SCSI bus. <IMAGE></p> |
