PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the frequency (thickness) or diameter of a plate vibrator so as to provide the desired treatment area (thermal denaturation area) and a treatment enable size concerning a plate applicator as an ultrasonic wave generation source for treatment. SOLUTION: Concerning the plate applicator with which plural plate vibrators 2 are arranged on a base in the shape of spherical shell and a treatment area 3 is formed away from the centroid of respective plate vibrators 2 just for a prescribed distance, when the treatment area 3 is included in a long-distance sound field, the diameter of plate vibrators 2 is set so that a lateral diameter within the range showing the pressure of about 1/2 to 1/3 to the maximum pressure of sound fields created by the respective plate vibrators 2 at the position of the treatment area 3 can be almost coincident with the lateral diameter of the treatment area 3.
