PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply produce the subject compound at a low cost by adding an inorganic acid halide to a melt of a specific compound, removing the residual waste gas from the resultant product and reacting the above product with a phenol derivative. SOLUTION: An inorganic acid halide (preferably SOCl2) is added to a melt of a compound represented by formula I [R1 is a 1-26C alkyl, a 6-14C aryl or the like; R3 and R4 are each H, a 1-10C alkyl, a 3-8C cycloalkyl or the like; A is CONR2 (R2 is H, a 1-26C alkyl, a 3-8C cycloalkyl or the like) or NR2CO; M is H or an alkali metal ion] and the residual waste gas is then removed from the produced amidocarboxylic acid halide under a reduced pressure. In the second reactional stage, the amidocarboxylic acid halide is subsequently reacted with a phenol derivative represented by formula II (R6 is a 1-6C alkyl or the like; X is SO3M or the like) and suspended in a suitable organic solvent (preferably toluene, acetonitrile, a 1-4C alkyl acetate or n-butyl acetate) to produce the objective compound represented by formula III (n is 1-10).
