PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously purify glycidyl (meth)acrylate by converting an impurity into epichlorohydrin which can be easily removed by distillation by contacting glycidyl (meth)acrylate which contains a specific impurity with a specific resin. SOLUTION: This method comprises contacting glycidyl (meth)acrylate which contains impurities including 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol with a resin having a group shown by the formula (R is H, HOC2H4, a 1-10C alkyl, or aryl; X is a halogen) (e.g. monomethylammonium chloride), preferably at room temperature to 100 deg.C, preferably passing through the resin, followed by if necessary, purifying by distillation. For the resin having the group shown by the formula, a Cl-type basic anionic ion-exchange resin is preferably used. It is preferable that the structure of the Cl-type basic anionic ion-exchange resin is the high-porous type having micropores.
