A connecting system for releasably connecting a first structural member (3) and a second structural member (14) together is disclosed. The connecting system comprises a first connector (4) of adjustable length having an end locatable in or on an end of the first structural member (3) and another end defining a head section (9), and a second connector (12) having an end locatable in or on an end of the second structural member (14); and another end defining a cavity to releasably retain the head section (9); wherein the head section (9) is insertable in the cavity at a first orientation between the first structural member (3) and the second structural member (14) and retained therein upon movement of the first structural member (3) from that first orientation.
