摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily prepare a hypochlorous acid or hypochlorite soln. at any place at a low cost by immersing a solid chlorine salt and a vessel contg. an electrode arranged in its close proximity in water, impregnating the solid chlorine salt with the sucked water and conducting electrolysis. SOLUTION: The inside of a vessel is divided into two sections, a suction port 2 is provided to one section and an outlet 1 to the other section, the lower parts are communicated to provide a bed 4 of a solid chlorine salt such as sodium chloride, and a part of a couple of electrodes 3 each formed with a platinum-coated flat titanium sheet or the like are embedded in the bed 4. This immersion electrolytic device is wholly immersed in raw water, the bed 4 is impregnated with the water introduced from the suction port 2 to form a concd. salt soln., and the electrodes 3 are dipped in the soln. The electrodes 3 are energized to electrolyze the soln. A sodium hypochlorite soln. generated by the elecrolysis ascends in the liq. and is recovered from the outlet 1 at the upper part.
