PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control simply and quickly a man conveyor even in such an emergency case as requiring an emergency control, for example tumbling. SOLUTION: An image control device 3 receives a characteristic amount using an image reception part 31, and an event judging part 32 judges whether an emergency condition is generated on the basis of the obtained characteristics amount, and a control decision part 33 decides the control method to be adopted on the basis of the result from judgement. A control signal is fed to a man conveyor control device 21 to conduct stop, deceleration, etc., of the man conveyor 2 and guidance by a guide device 22.
