HIGH-PERFORMANCE SILVER GRAIN DIFFUSING ELECTRODE AND REACTION-BED MATERIAL FOR THE ELECTRODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance silver grain diffusing electrode in which a fine silver grain and a fine PTFE grain are sufficiently mixed and dispersed and without the resistance of a reaction bed being increased and to furnish the reaction-bed material for the electrode. SOLUTION: This silver grain diffusing electrode having a reaction-bed using silver as catalyst has the reaction bed admixed with a fine scaly silver grain having 1-50μm size and <=0.3μm thickness and/or a fine linear silver grain having <=0.3μm diameter and 1-5μm length. The reaction-bed material for a silver grain diffusing electrode is prepared by mixing an aq. dispersion of a fine scaly silver grain having the same size as above and <=0.3μm thickness and/or a fine linear silver grain with another aq. material dispersion of PTFE and then self-organizing the mixture with alcohol.
