The invention relates to a method for producing façade joints in the mineral plaster of brickwork, preferably a brick masonry, using an elongated profile (5) that is open lengthwise and a profile (5) for the implementation of said method having flanges (2, 2') that project laterally outward in the area of both longitudinal edges of the opening in the profile and extending in the same plane. According to the invention, in order to prevent penetration of water in the façade joints and ensuing damages to the plaster, the open profile (5) is oriented with the opening directed outward and fixed on a rough base using an adhesive. The profile is then aligned before the adhesive dries, whereupon the brickwork is coated with an undercoat plaster (9), whereupon the opening of the profile (5) is uncovered preferably before the undercoat plaster (9) dries. The profile (5) is characterized in that the flanges (2, 2') are disposed at a distance from the edge of the opening and form limbs (4, 14) serving as edges for the plaster (4', 14'). |
