SUBSTANCE: gases with sulfur smell formed in the sulfate cellulose treatment process are introduced into soda-regeneration boiler in at least such an amount that a part of chlorine released in gas state accumulates in the form of hydrogen chloride in the top part of soda-regeneration boiler. Hydrogen chloride is separated from flue gas by washing it out. Hydrogen chloride reacts with washing solution and is removed from scrubber together with part of washing solution.
