PURPOSE: A digitizing device for the grabbing shape of a tire is provided to easily analyze and predict tire property by converting the grabbing shape of the tire to a grabbing line value and to enhance accuracy since the grabbing line is most similar shape to the grabbing shape. CONSTITUTION: To digitize a grabbing shape(1) of a tire, a system marks the center line of the grabbing shape by drawing a horizontal line and a vertical line from maximum grabbing width points(a1,a2) and maximum grabbing length points(b1,b2). Herein, the grabbing shape is formed when 85% of a common load is applied to the tire. Then, the system sets two reference points(M1,M2) placed at 60% of each maximum grabbing half width(W/2) from a central point(O) between the horizontal and the vertical line and sets two cross points(P1,P2) by drawing a vertical line from two reference points. Finally, the system finds a grabbing line(2) connecting the maximum grabbing point(b1) to the cross points and obtains the curvature radius of the grabbing line as a grabbing line value(R) for the analysis of tire property.
