<p>PURPOSE: To access desired I frames one after another in a short time by record ing in advance addresses being plural-preceding addresses in the forward and reverse directions from adjacent frames in the forward and reverse directions in a user's data area. CONSTITUTION: A user's data area is provided in the head of an I frame and MPEG user's data including address information are written to the area at recording. Let a left end I frame be I0 , a succeeding I frame in the forward direction be I1 and a succeeding I frame in the reverse direction be I-1 . Similarly frames are referred to as I2 , I3 ,... in the forward direction and as I-2 , I-3 ,... in the reverse direction. In this case, the forward search frame I1 is written in a first address, the reverse search frame I-1 is written in a 2nd address, a forward high speed search address being plural-preceding address, e.g. I10 is written in a third address and a reverse high speed search address being plural-preceding address, e.g. I-10 is written in a fourth address as address information of the MPEG user's data area of the I frame I0 .</p> |
