<p>Removal of corners or strips from surfaces of moulded clay bodies may be performed by cutting, using circular rotary knives set in a V-pattern. The knives are driven at a rotational speed faster than the feed rate. Alternatively, milling cutters can be used. In a first operation, grooves (9,10) can be formed in the top and bottom surfaces of the moulding, and in a second in the opposite side surfaces. Material can be removed using a V-shaped blade to form a groove.</p> |
