PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to produce a liquid crystal panel which is highly accurately, uniformly regulated in a gap size and is excellent in display quality regardless of its kinds at a low cost with good productivity. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel 1 consists of the liquid crystal panel which is provided with a liquid crystal layer 4 between a first substrate 2 and second substrate 3 arranged to face each other apart a prescribed spacing and is provided with a planarization film 17 having a flat surface on the side of the liquid crystal layer 4 of the first substrate 2. Pixels are formed in a matrix form and the regions between the pixels adjacent to each other are formed as light shielding regions by black matrices 16 an signal wiring 11. Projecting parts 18 forming a prescribed spacing between the first substrate 2 and the second substrate 3 by coming into contact with the extremely surface of the second substrate 3 on the liquid crystal layer 4 side are formed on the same material as the material of the planarization film 17 in the positions of the black matrices on the surface of the planarization film 17. The planarization film 17 and the projecting parts 18 are formed of, for example, organic materials.
