PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transmit operation information to a central management means by automatically adjusting a frequency of a modulation wave outputted from an electric appliance to an in-home electric distribution line. SOLUTION: Information on an electric appliance 1 in a home is modulated and transmitted to a central management section 2 through an in-home electric distribution line 4, the central management section 2 demodulates the information on the electric appliance 1 and stores and manages the demodulated information and the information is transmitted to a monitor section 3 at the outside of home to monitor a state of living in this monitor system. In this case, the electric appliance 1 is provided with a modulation section 14 that modulates a carrier on the basis of the information on the electric appliance 1, a modulation wave detection section 16 that detects a frequency of a modulation wave outputted from the modulation section 14, and a carrier adjustment section 17 that adjusts a frequency of the carrier of the modulation section 14 to be a prescribed frequency on the basis of the frequency of the modulation wave detected by the modulation wave detection section 16.
