PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image filing device which securely, efficiently and automatically extracts character information contained in a video signal regardless of the difference of the type, the maker and the type of an image diagnostic device and stores recognized character information and image informa tion in the same file without the need of the program of special data manage ment. SOLUTION: Learning for designating a desired attribute item in attribute data contained in image data outputted from various image diagnostic devices 11, designating a position and a range in the screen where the attribute item is contained and converting character information in the range into character data is executed. Thus, desired attribute data contained in a video signal outputted from the individual image diagnostic devices 11 is automatically and precisely converted into character data. Obtained character data is filed in the same file by associating it with image data. |
