<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router that can quickly make communication restored on the occurrence of a fault. SOLUTION: This router is provided with a plurality of routing tables RT 1-RTN, that store new path information every time path information is revised, a rewrite time storage section 3 that stores rewrite time information for a plurality of the routing tables, a table changeover section 2 that applies changeover control to a plurality of the routing tables, and a route processor section 1 that manages a plurality of the routing tables, such as setting, rewrite and deletion on the basis of path information from a network operator or path information obtained by a routing protocol. The router continues the operation of communication, by selecting a routing table storing old path information on the occurrence of a communication fault due to a routing table and troubleshoots a cause to the communication fault through the comparison of the path information between those before and after the changeover.</p> |
