PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device which is simple and hardly brings about malfunction and prevents extraction of an AC/DC adapter or a plug and whose alarm tone or the like is hardly extinguished in a short time. SOLUTION: Provided are a detection means 110 which detects that an open/ close hole like a window 3 has opened from the close state, a signal line 150 consisting of a wire like an electric wire through which the detection signal of this detection means 110 is sent, a power reception means 200 which receives a commercial AC power, a voltage conversion means 300 which converts the AC voltage received from this power reception means 200 to a DC voltage of a prescribed value, an alarm generation means 500 which is operated with the DC voltage of this voltage conversion means 300 and generates an alarm by the detection signal sent through the signal line 150, and a case 700 in which the power reception means 200, the voltage conversion means 300, and the alarm generation means 500 are stored and which can be fixed to the surface of a wall, a pole, or the like in the periphery of a receptacle by a fixing means 720 while covering the receptacle.
