PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera that can photograph a picture intended by a photographer with less affecting a major object and a layout and that gives no adverse effect on reading of a voice code image. SOLUTION: When a photographer uses a recording forming position setting section 20 to set a recording forming position of a voice code image corresponding to a voice that is going to be entered or is entered by a voice input section 10 in a photographed still picture, a recording forming area reservation section 21 reserves a recording forming area of the voice code image in the photographed still picture on the basis of the recording forming position set by the recording forming position setting section 20. For example, data of the recording forming area of the voice code image in the picture data in the photographed still picture are rewritten with white level data. |
