PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrolytic solution with a high breakdown voltage, whose stability is high in a wide temperature range from low temperature to high temperature, and to provide an electric double-layer capacitor with high energy density, which can be used over a wide temperature range by discovering a high electrostatic capacity while using the electronic solution for the electric double-layer capacitor. SOLUTION: This electrolytic solution for an electric double-layer capacitor, and the main components of the solvent of the electrolytic solution is a mixture of at least one kind of propylene carbonate, butylene carbonate, and three- methylsulfonic acid with ethylene carbonate. Also, electric double-layer capacitor, using the electrolytic solution and a polarizable electrode in which at least one of a positive electrode and a negative electrode, is formed of carbonaceous materials as main components. |
