PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize such light emission for phosphorescent light that the quantity of short-wavelength components is relatively increased as a result and to suppress the wasteful consumption of energy by executing the stroboscopic light emission for storage the light of phosphorescent glasses so that it is executed in a shorter time than that of a normal photographing time and the quantity thereof becomes smaller than that of the normal photographing time. SOLUTION: In this display device of a camera, the phosphorescent glasses 6a and 6b are arranged near an LCD 7. Then, the light energy by pulse light is stored and the stored light energy is gradually emitted outside as the light. Besides, a stroboscope circuit 4 and the glasses 6a and 6b can be irradiated with the light and a light emitting time is controlled. By a CPU 1, the stroboscope circuit 4 is made to emit the light plural times and the stroboscopic light emitting time per one time is controlled to be reduced as possible.
