PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the increase of the number of times of seek for each recording means of a data storage means at the time of channel swap reproduction to be prevented and to make compatible the channel swap reproducing function and the reaction speed by recording data such as audio data in the overlapped state to each recording means. SOLUTION: This data recording/reproducing device is provided with plural input/output means 101-103 for inputting/outputting the data and the data storage means 105 having plural random accessible recording media 501, 502, 503, 504 whereon the data from an optional input/output means among the plural input/ output means 101-103 are recorded, then by the data storage means 105, the data from the input/output means are multiplexed for every channel, and the multiplexed data are recorded on each of the recording media 501, 502, 503, 504 in the overlapped state.
