发明名称 METHOD FOR FIXING HYBRID HETEROSIS IN SUBSEQUENT GENERATIONS

SUBSTANCE: hybrid heterosis is displayed only in first generation and is proved to die down in subsequent generations of hybrid mainly due to transition of recessive lethals, semilethals and sublethals to homozygous state and due to breaking the complex of advantageous genes of coordinated action. Method for eliminating these effects and fixing heterosis in further generations involves providing back crossings of hybrid with absolutely homozygous androgenetic artificially produced sons. As a result, dangerous genes are completely eliminated from genetically transformed hybrid, while complex of beneficial heterosis genes are kept intact. Method allows heterosis in subsequent commercial generations produced by simple interhybridous crossings to be completely retained, as is proved by tests with silkworm. Method may be effectively used for farm crops from which androgenetic, absolutely homozygous specimens are produced. EFFECT: increased efficiency in hybridization of farm crops. 4 cl, 4 dwg
