PURPOSE: If an inverter ground switch(1) is on stand-by(or isolated) mode, a high-speed breaker(2), contactor(4), line breaker(6) should keep in off-condition. If on stand-by condition a control device does wrong operation, or especially if a line breaker(6) is on malfunction when the line breaker is on running the inverter ground switch(1) into normal condition, then inrush currents of initial DC electric source are provided by the following way; inverter ground switch(1) high-speed breaker(2) line breaker(6) filter inducer(7) filter capacitor(8). Therefore, there is a bad effect on a system safety. CONSTITUTION: A controlling method of propulsion control device for railroad car is provided to detect whether an inverter ground switch(1) is on normal condition or not. If the switch(1) is on isolated condition, a control system is stopped. If the inverter ground switch is on normal condition, then we check whether a line breaker(6) is off. Therein, If the line breaker is on, the system returns to an initial status. If the line breaker is off, the control system performs its regular controlling processes. Danger from a wrong operation decreases and safety is enhanced. Therefore credibility of operation is enhanced. If the line breaker is on in its initial step, the operation of control system stops and danger from inrush currents of DC electric source are prevented. |
