PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic unit precluding generation of splash by preventing the body bore from being shaved by a drive gear when a gear pump is put in operation. SOLUTION: A hydraulic unit is composed of a body bore 4 formed in a housing, a drive gear 5 installed in the body bore, a driven gear 6 installed in the body bore and meshed with a drive gear, a through hole provided in the housing and in communication with the body bore, and a motor fixed to the housing and with its output shaft inserted into the through hole rotatably, wherein a certain clearance is reserved between the through hole and output shaft, and the drive gear is fixed to the output shaft, and the body bore 4 is arranged so that its extent to be shaved by the drive gear 5 when a gear pump consisting of the drive gear 5 and driven gear 6 is driven by the motor is previously shaved.
