摘要 PURPOSE: An optical recording medium with high density and a production method thereof are provided to ensure excellent planarization by inhibiting a bending deformation by symmetric junction of substrates even forming a thin light permeable layer. CONSTITUTION: First and second cover layers(20,22) are symmetrically joined upward and downstream of a substrate layer(24). The first cover layer serves as a light permeable layer of an optical beam incident thereon from an object lens(8). The substrate layer contains a recording surface to form a reflective film(12). Herein, the first cover layer has a thickness thinner than an existing DVD(Digital Video Disk) for ensuring a tilt margin dependent upon a high density. The second cover layer is combined to the substrate layer in a symmetrical fashion to prevent an optical recording medium from being bent depending on a changed drive condition. Herein, the second cover layer is formed in the same thickness as the first cover layer. Therefore, the optical recording medium with high density and having excellent planarization is achieved.
