METHOD FOR EMBODYING TOPOLOGY DATABASE IN ATM SWITCHING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for embodying a topology database in the ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switching system is provided to configure one database per switching system, regardless of layers. CONSTITUTION: A DBMS(Database Management System) confirms whether a specific layer out of a plurality of layers attempts approach to a database(S1). The DBMS deciphers the layer information of network information from the associated database(S2) and confirms the information of the specific layer which attempts approach to the associated database(S3). The DBMS confirms whether the layer information of the deciphered network information is lower than the information of the approach layer(S4). In case that the layer information of the deciphered network information is lower than the information of the approach layer, The DBMS doesn't accept the database approach request(S5). In case that the layer information of the deciphered network information is higher than the information of the approach layer The DBMS accepts the database approach request(S6).
