LIGHT GUIDE PLATE, PLANE OPTICAL SOURCE OF SIDE LIGHT TYPE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A light guide plate, a plane optical source of side light type and a liquid crystal display device are provided to prevent abnormal light emission of the light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate includes a minor surface(2A) and a major surface(2C), and a plurality of protrusions(PR3). The minor surface(2A) provides an incident surface of the light. The major surface(2C) includes a light emission surface and a rear surface. The light emission surface emits the light accepted through the incident surface of the light. The plurality of protrusions(PR3) are extended at nearly right angle with respect to the incident surface of the light. The cross section of the light guide plate is of a circular shape in a predetermined region around the incident surface of the light.
