PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact wire washing device shaking off sticking slurry from a wire by centrifugal force. SOLUTION: In this wire washing device for removing slurry sticking to a wire reciprocating between a cutting chamber arranged with a wire saw and a stringing chamber, a pair of multi-groove guide rollers 41, 42 winding a wire 5 to the peripheral surface and reciprocating a plurality of times are rotatably provided in a cover 30, and a slurry receiver 20 is removably mounted in the cover 30. Centrifugal force generated when the wire 5 is turned around the multi-groove guide rollers 41, 42 is utilized to shake off the slurry sticking to the wire 5 to recover to the slurry receiver 20. Simultaneously when a washing liquid W is sprayed from washing nozzles 45, 46, the sticking slurry is more efficiently removed. The washing liquid W is prevented from being brought in the cutting chamber by on/off controlling the washing nozzles 45, 46 in accordance with a running direction of the wire 5. |
