PURPOSE: A high frequency ceramic resonator and a fabricating method thereof are provided to obtain a condenser chip having uniform electrostatic capacity at both ends thereof in a simplified process and thereby to improve characteristics of the resonator. CONSTITUTION: A ceramic resonator includes a ceramic piezoelectric device, a condenser chip and a lead frame. The piezoelectric device and the condenser chip are mounted in the lead frame and then coated with a resin compound. In particular, the condenser chip(100) is fabricated as follows. First, a ceramic wafer is cut into a sub-wafer(110) having a predetermined thickness. Second, a first electrode(120) is formed on either side of one face of the sub-wafer(110) by a printing of metal paste and then cured. Next, a second electrode(140) is formed on the center of the reverse face of the sub-wafer(110) by the same printing and then cured. The second electrode(140) is partly overlapped with the first electrode(120). Next, the cured sub-wafer(110) is annealed and then divided into predetermined size. |
