DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLING DISC CARTRIDGE

PURPOSE: An assembling device of disc cartridge is provided to combine a pair of cartridge halves at a short time without separating after assembling and to protect a disc stored in a main cartridge body unit. CONSTITUTION: A protrusion formed in one inner surface of cartridge halves is penetrated through a through slot formed in the other cartridge half in register with the protrusion. A distal end of the projection is thermally deformed to combine cartridges. The upper and the lower cartridge halves are layered by the protrusion and supported by a supporting tool. The distal end of the protrusion is heated by a heater and thermally deformed by a caulking head formed a recess on a surface to compress. The caulking head and the projection are cooled with the cooling tool according as the caulking head is detached from the thermally deformed protrusion. A caulking process is reduced because the deformation of protrusion is performed to be solidification.
