PURPOSE: An internet phone system capable of real-time mutual voice communications through the internet without the necessity of a call server and comprising a LAN interface module is provided. CONSTITUTION: An internet phone system is composed of a power supply unit(10), an ethernet transceiver(20), an ethernet control unit(30), a memory unit(40), a CPU(50), a serial-parallel conversion unit(60), a codec unit(70) and an input-output unit(80). The ethernet transceiver(20) inputs and outputs packets to a network. The ethernet control unit(30) controls the packets through inputted and outputted through the ethernet transceiver(20). The memory unit(40) stores control programs necessary to control packet data and data generated during the execution of the program. The CPU(50) controls each of the units based on the programs stored in the memory unit(40).
