发明名称 ASYMMETRICAL SLOTTED-ROD AND TRIANGULAR SLOTTED-ROD, AND SUPER-MULTIFIBER CABLE HAVING THEM
摘要 PURPOSE: A super multi-fiber cable is provided to enhance an optical-fiber density remarkably by containing a asymmetrical slotted-rod in which a space between grooves is reduced to the utmost and a triangular slotted-rod which can be disposed in a marginal space between units and thus improve an optical-fiber density. CONSTITUTION: A super multi-fiber cable(30) has a predetermined central tension line(31) at its centerline and a number of asymmetrical slotted-rods(10) disposed at a peripheral surface of the tension line(31). Predetermined triangular slotted-rods(20) are installed between the asymmetrical slotted-rods(10) so that a number of optical-fiber ribbons(15,25) are laminated and inserted. The asymmetrical slotted-rod(10) is formed with two grooves(11) having constant depths spirally along a peripheral surface on the opposite sides. The optical-fiber ribbons(15) are inserted into the grooves(11). When the circumferential surface of the asymmetrical slotted-rods(10) around the grooves(11) is cut in the form of arc, marginal flesh is eliminated and thus an optical-fiber density increases. The peripheral surface of the asymmetrical slotted-rod(10) is formed with a covering layer(17) of a predetermined waterproof tape. The triangular slotted-rod(20) includes a projection(23) having a predetermined curvature to be installed between the adjacent asymmetrical slotted-rods(10), and a groove(21) having a predetermined depth on the side opposite to the projection(23) to contain the plurality of optical-fiber ribbons(25). An outer surface of the triangular slotted-rod(20) is formed with a covering layer(27) of a predetermined waterproof tape after the plurality of optical-fiber ribbons(25) are inserted into the groove(21).
