PURPOSE: A method for allocating communication resources according to a subscriber request in the satellite communication system and the apparatus thereby are provided to allocate variably the bandwidth of a channel frequency according to the kind of service. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(31) transmits and receives a up-link signal and a down-link signal with the satellite. A RF processing part(32) is comprised of an orthogonal mode converter, a low noise amplifier, a frequency downward converter, a frequency upward converter and a high output amplifier. An IF combiner/distributer(33) divides an intermediate frequency signal supplied from the RF processing part(32) into a plurality of intermediate frequency signals. A single channel per carrier channel unit(34) demodulates and decodes the intermediate frequency signal supplied from the IF combiner/distributer(33). A special number receiving detection part(36) detects whether a calling subscriber number supplied from a TDC(Telephone Data interface Card)(38) or a TIP(Trunk Interface Port)(39) is received with a special number added.
