PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively perform reshifting when a shift operation is released so that a neutral state can be shortened as much as possible in a transmission in which an operating mechanism is automatically operated by an actuator. SOLUTION: In an automatically operated transmission which is provided with a synchromesh mechanism 30 having a sleeve and a synchronizer-ring which is synchronized with the sleeve to increase frictional force in relation to a specified gear of a gear transmission mechanism 2 by displacement of the sleeve from a shift-in area to a synchronous area and which is idled to allow the engagement of external teeth of the specified gear with internal teeth of the sleeve to complete the shift when the sleeve transfers from the synchronous area to a push-through area, and which is driven by a motor-operated- or a fluid pressure type actuator 50, 40 to axially move the sleeve of the synchromesh mechanism 30, a travel detecting means 51 for detecting the amount of travel of a movable member of the actuator 50 or the sleeve based on the driving operation of the actuator 50 and an ECU 62 for re-driving the actuator 50 to the present shift state when the sleeve is moved to the push-through area, by the amount of travel detected by the travel detecting means 51 through a shift operation other than a normal shift operation. |
