Provided are cephem derivatives represented by the general formula wherein Ar, R1, R2, R3, R9 and R10 are as defined in the application. The derivatives are gram-positive antibacterial agents especially useful in the treatment of diseases caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
