PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the starting properties of a motor from degradation even when carbon dioxide is used as refrigerant. SOLUTION: A suction pipe 61 of a compressor 2 is coupled with its discharge pipe 60 through a coupling pipe 62, and an opening/closing valve 63 is installed on the way of the coupling pipe 62. The pipe 62 is closed while a motor 13 is in operation, and is opened while the motor 13 is stopped. Accordingly the suction pipe 61 and discharge pipe 60 are at the pressure if the motor 13 stops, so that there is no risk that are starting properties are degraded.
