PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat damages generated by irradiation with more than allowable light quantity in the case of irradiating a celom with the light quantity by a manual system. SOLUTION: A diaphragm 25, a lamp 22 and an automatic/manual changeover switch 27C are provided inside a processor 20 and a light guide 14 is provided inside a scope 10. Then, at the time of irradiating the celom S with the light quantity emitted from the lamp 22 through the light guide 14, the manual system for irradiating it with a fixed light quantity is selected by the operation of the automatic/manual changeover switch 27C and the position of the diaphragm 25 is set. Then, in the case that the light quantity with which the celom S is irradiated becomes equal to or more than the allowable light quantity, the diaphragm 25 is automatically closed and the light quantity is reduced.
