PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a profound atmosphere by projecting out a linking portion at support side at the rear of a chair's support, providing a linking portion at arm rest side drooped below the arm rest so as to link both of them in the folded position. SOLUTION: A support 2 is made of aluminum die-cast and the front and rear wall portions 22, 23 are covered with covers 8, 9. At the rear surface 9b of the rear cover 9, a support linking portion 6 with a fin-shaped cross section is provided, which comprises three recessed grooves 61 and four plate- shaped teeth 62. The arm rest 5 comprises half-split portions 51, 51 made of aluminum die-cast, an intermediate plate 53, and an upper plate 54. A linking portion 7 at the arm rest side has two recessed grooves opened below and at the rear and three plate-shaped teeth and is linked to the teeth portion 62 of the linking portion 6 at the support side and the recessed groove 61. In this way, the linking portion 6 at the support side and linking portion 7 at arm rest side, which are mutually linked and overlapped to the support 2 and arm rest 5 at the folding position, are arranged thereby realizing an appearance giving a feeling of stability at the position used thereby permitting to fold the support 2 and arm rest 5 compactly at the folding position.
