PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause malfunctions due to dust and mischief and to improve counting accuracy by providing the passage of a spherical body with a distortion resistor, measuring the change of a current or a voltage flowing through the distortion resistor and counting the number of times of the change by a counting means. SOLUTION: A square part 43 is formed in a ball counting part for counting pachinko balls 7 sent through the passage 29 to a storage tank or the like and a deflection plate 45 is fitted across the bottom part of the passage 29 in it. The deflection plate 45 is formed thinner than the bottom part of the other part and a slit 47 is formed to the front and back between the other part. The distortion resistor 49 is fixed to the upper and lower surfaces of the deflection plate 45 made to be easily deflected in such a manner and the change of the current flowing through the resistance line of the distortion resistor 49 or the change of the voltage when the pachinko ball 7 passes through the distortion resistor 49 is measured in a detection part. After the measurement signals are waveform-shaped, a pulse number is counted by a counting circuit using an IC for a counter and the number of the pachinko balls is measured.
