POLYMERIC BINDER FOR HARD FACING MATERIALS

PURPOSE: A polymeric binder for hard facing materials is provided to manufacture a flexible mat quickly excluding the needs on a separate drying process by blending metal carbonates, nitrides, oxides etc., ceramic powders and brazing materials without using a solvent. CONSTITUTION: A polymeric binder according to the present invention comprises dibutyl phthalate, dibenzothiophene, vinyl acetate, acetaldehyde and water. The polymeric binder is used to join a foreign material and/or brazing material together for bonding the foreign material to a metal matrix by brazing method in order to manufacture a flexible mat.
