PURPOSE: An OAM(Operation, Administration and Maintenance) data communication apparatus of the pulse code modulation channel apparatus in the fiber loop carrier system is provided to transmit and receive OAM data with a remote terminal side, as used in the pulse code modulation channel apparatus in the fiber loop carrier system. CONSTITUTION: A timing generation unit(410) generates a timing pulse to recognize communication data. A communication bit detection and insertion unit(420) extracts communication data from an E1 frame and inserts the communication data received from a data processing unit(430) into the E1 frame. The data processing unit(430) extracts pure OAM data from 5 nos. bits transmitted from the communication bit detection and insertion unit(420) and transfers the OAM data to a main control unit(440). The main control unit(440), receiving the pure OAM data outputted from the data processing unit(430), executes an associated OAM processing. |
