PREPARATION OF VORTEX PLASMA TORCH

PURPOSE: A method of preparing a vortex plasma torch is provided to reduce entire energy loss by lowering the cooling load of a torch and recycling internal heat. CONSTITUTION: A former plasma torch protects inner devices such as electrodes and each airtight O-ring by cooling heat of plasma flames and radiant heat of a reaction furnace with cooling water. Thus, about 20-50% of heat value of the torch is lost by the cooling water. To solve the problem, an additional pipe is mounted outside the torch to heat pyrolysis reaction gas in the pipe with the high-temperature radiant heat. The plasma flame is controlled through vortex direction, strength and flow speed.
