DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LIMITING FLOWING OF HEAD FOR HARD DISC DRIVE

PURPOSE: A device and a method for limiting a flowing of head for a hard disc driver are provided to reduce a shock by a slapping of a disc and a head. CONSTITUTION: A limiter plate(38) is to limit a flowing of Z direction of a suspension(22) separated from a surface of disc and a head(20), and limits a shock by a slapping that the head(20) slaps the surface of disc. The suspension(22) and the limiter plate(38) are flowed upward and downward when a hard disc drive receives a shock load of Z direction. The limiter plate(38) is less bent than the suspension(22) by forming harder than the suspension(22). The limiter plate(38) limits the flowing of the suspension(22) and the head(20). Thereby, damages of a disc(12) and the head(20) are prevented. The limiter plate(38) is equipped with a mechanical transferring function not to move the suspension(22) during generating the shock or a vibrating load. The mechanical transferring function limits the flowing of head separated from the disc(12).
