<p>A drill bit (100) for drilling a bore is disclosed. The drill bit (100) includes a body having a shank portion (158), a tip portion (146, 178) and an axis of rotation therethrough. The tip portion (146, 178) has a plurality of touching points, wherein all of the plurality of touching points form a plurality of cutting edges (148, 150, 152, 154) that are aligned along the entire length of a common diameter line. Alternately, the plurality of cutting edges (180, 182, 184, 186, 188, 190) may be aligned along the entire length of a diameter of the drill bit (100) on different diameter lines.</p> |
